Thursday Gratitudes

Taking time to stop and think today; thinking about what I've got, how I've been blessed, what God is doing. Gratitude is a powerful thing and the simple act of remembering all of that I've been given is renewing, and so very valuable. Here goes:

The surprise gift of cash from an anonymous someone at church. It came at just the right time for us.

Growth in the garden (and a great new sprinkler to play in). Seeing new things coming along-tomatoes and zucchini, berries and green beans. Plus the gift of tons of lettuce and sp
inach for fresh salads daily. Love that. Love knowing that God "richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment." (1 Timothy 6:17)

Spending the day here with Zac on Saturday, a happy birthday hike. It was a beautiful six miles.

Celebrating 30 this past week. Feeling like God is doing some stuff
in me and looking forward to what he'll do this year in my life. It isn't always easy when God is working in your life, it's sometimes painful and difficult, but I've learned that if you go along with it and enjoy the ride you find yourself surprised at all that he blesses you with along the way.

Remembering that God gives of burdens so that he can also give us benefits. "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation!" or "Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens." (Psalm 68:19)

Meeting and hanging out with our newest niece, sweet Krystina Ruth. Loving having a new baby around to love on.

Celebrating freedom, freedom in Christ and freedom in our country. So very grateful for those who have fought and still are fighting for our freedom.
Happy Fourth everyone.
