How to Cover Up the Christmas Lights Cords

So this really isn’t a craft or anything, but it’s a great way to cover up those pesky light cords on your Christmas tree.
String your lights, and if your tree is like ours-fresh from the woods-there’s probably lots of bare spaces. And bare spaces don’t hide cords very well.
Here’s your solution: take some pretty, wide ribbon and fold it over your light cords. Carefully staple the ribbon together. I say carefully so that you don’t accidently staple over the cord. That is not what we’re going for, and it’s really bad. Don’t do this.
Enjoy your covered up cords!

I’m sharing with Kimba’s DIY day today, head over for cool DIY projects.

  1. That is a great idea. I had never thought of it.
I am hosting a giveaway on my blog. I hope you can stop by and enter.

  2. Burlap would be awesome! I love how the ribbon looks like the ribbon wrapped trees all around blog land! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Great idea! Wonder if we could extend this to the cord on the floor?...

  4. That's a great idea. I hate how the blue-green of the cords always stands out next to the green-green of the tree. Thanks!

  5. Thank you for this SMART idea!

I love to hear from you! Thanks for coming by and sharing your thoughts with me.
