Sunday Gratitudes

I’m grateful for this girl, who reads to herself all the time and makes her own peanut butter, banana and jelly sandwiches.

I’m grateful for this stage of life for her, an independent five year old who knows what she wants and has no problem going out to get it.

I’m grateful for this furry guy, and grateful that we got this picture of him awhile back (since he’s still afraid of the camera).  He’s a faithful running partner, always ready to go-even when I’m not.  Some days that’s a really good motivation for me.

And I’m grateful for an extra hour of day light at the end of the day, instead of the beginning.  And for the coming of spring and the forecast for tomorrow that tells me it’s supposed to 65 degrees.
I’m grateful for two amazing grandparents who take the kids overnight, so I can have a much needed break and a some good date time with Zac.  Because a refreshed mom is a happy mom, and I know I can get an “amen” to that.
What are you grateful for today?

  2. Gina, I'm always so happy when I click over to your blog. I don't have as much time as I used to for blog-reading but every time I come over here for a visit I think "I have so much in common with this girl." I'm a mostly vegetarian too, by the way. And now that I'm mid-30's {beyond actually} I have crazier hormonal bouts than I used to. And I love running {most of the time.} I also love your token system. I have yet to stick with any sort of behavior modification system OR chore system. I totally fall off the wagon every time and then feel like a failure. But those I think I could handle. I'm all about simple and that looks simple. Anyway, sorry for the rambling comment. Hope you have a great rest of the weekend!

  5. The first image of your daughter is beautiful! I love it. I am so looking forward to that age, while at the same time trying to keep in mind that the "best" stage is now.

I am thankful for hearing a much needed teaching today in church-and that the babies made it through yet another Sunday in the nursery to allow hubby and I to hear the whole thing :-)
