Master Bedroom Reveal-A New Change

We’re finally back at it…at least as far as the computer goes.
All the computer crazies made it hard for me to show you how the master bedroom redo went, so here it is. And just so you know, we’re totally enjoying our “new” master bedroom.

Before we had this, kind of drab. And yeah, you can see where I was checking the paint.

You can see the room is narrow-we’ve always had the bed under the window but we had a feeling that it would fit much better on the the wall to the left.
We painted and moved things around and wow-what a big difference. This is the same view from the door going in. Nice and light and bright. Love it, love it, love it.

The crisp, white bedding really makes a difference. And paying more for nicer sheets is so, so worth it.
Here are some more details:

I gotta say, there’s nothing better than climbing into this comfy bed at the end of the day. And then waking up to a soft calm blue. Wonderful. And such an inexpensive way to redo a room-paint is pretty cheap!
The pictures above the bed are a combination of some of my photos and some prints printed out from Vintage Printables. The pillow I’ve had for years and the lamps too. The orange side tables is just one of those three legged deals that are meant to be covered with a tablecloth. I ditched that and slathered on some pumpkin orange. I think it gives a nice pop of color to the room.
So there it is, and in this project I’m reminded of what a difference such a simple change can make. And I wonder why it we sometimes live with things we don’t really love because of fear; fear of change or fear that the color won’t be right or that we might not like the end result. It’s silly, isn’t it? Trying new things is really good-and I’m not just talking about decorating here.
What have you done that’s new lately?
I'm linking up with Kimba and Kim today and Melissa.
