Christmas on Purpose: take a little time

Make time, making time together, taking advantage of the little moments, slowing down.
Tonight we slowed down.  We watched Christmas movies.  The kids went to bed.  And we took some time.  Just the two of us.  Hot chocolate.  Quiet moments.  There were other things that needed our attention.  Discussions to be had, plans to be made, projects to finish up.  But we put those aside, and rested.  And drank hot chocolate.  It was lovely.
Savoring Christmas means slowing down, taking a bit of time to look at the Christmas tree, and just be.  The season zips past, but the slow moment are there.  You just have to find them.
I found one tonight, and enjoyed it.  I’m grateful for that.

  1. I just read your Christmas on purpose posts. Gina, I love everything you have written. Slowing down is the key to prepare our heart for that "reason for the season." thank you for this. Such a great reminder. I can't wait for your guest post this week. I borrowed a picture of you from one of your posts. I hope that is ok. Let me know, if it is not. Happy Sunday, my friend.

  2. Thank you for giving me the 'permission' and the inspiration I needed to really STOP and ENJOY Christmas moments! God bless you for your posts that so often encourage me very very much! :)

I love to hear from you! Thanks for coming by and sharing your thoughts with me.
