Valentines Mantel Decorations

Hanging Heart Garland for Valentines

I spruced up the “mantel” for Valentine’s Day.  You would think it was Christmas morning all over again by the way my kids reacted.  They love the hanging hearts.  I love red and pink and pretty so we’re all happy.

Valentine's Crochet Heart Garland

I made a little garland too.  It’s simple but I love how it turned out.

Embellished Mason Jars for Valentines

I also embellished some Mason Jars to hold love notes and little treats for the kids.  I just used doilies and extra scrapbook supplies to dress them up.  The kids are loving making little things for each other, and I enjoy the opportunity to bless them, especially since they’re heading off for school on Monday.  I want to fill them up as much as I can before they head out.

For us Valentine’s day is all about family.  Being together and sharing our love for each other is what we focus on.  So much so that we always have a fancy dinner and little party with the kids on Valentine’s.  Even if it’s heart shaped pizza they love the special attention.  And as parents, we love giving it.

Do you have special family plans for Valentine’s?

    1. thank you, thank you, thank you for the prayers! I can't tell you how much it helps to know that so many people are praying for them, they feel it and appreciate it! I think I'm more nervous than the kids :)

for the jars I just took one doily and cut it into three (so I could use a little bit on each jar), and then wrapped it with embroidery floss, using the floss to attach chipboard goodies. then I dug out some scrapbook stickers to do their names. the kids are loving them!
