Family on Purpose {Pray}

One thing that I’ve learned over and over as a parent is that I cannot do this on my own. I need prayer like a fish needs the ocean. And my kids need it too.

My prayers encompass my kids, protecting them against the storms of life. They form a shield, an umbrella, and a fortress.

But sometimes I wonder how to pray for them. Sometimes situations leave me dumbfounded and at a loss for even how to begin. I go to God and want to list it all out and ask for this and that. And I forget that the relationship I have with God should be my driving force.

My friend Leslie just shared how she prays for her kids, and I would encourage you to read her perspective. Prayer is more than just talking, it’s actually listening more than anything else. And who better to listen to about our kids than the God who knows them and made them?
