Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children are a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
Psalm 127: 3-4
Our world today doesn’t always line up with God’s truth here. But it is clear, God loves children. He considers them a blessing and a reward. Even when they put Sharpie all over your freshly painted walls. Or they stay out way past curfew. Or throw spaghetti across the kitchen. When they test you and try you, they are still blessings. When they rebel and make poor choices, they are still blessings. My prayer is that in the midst of trials with our kids, God will give us the eyes to see them as such.
