Here we are. Day 19. It has surprised me that I still have stuff to say about how we do family on purpose, how we raise our kids intentionally. It is a subject that propels me these days, obviously, because I keep on talking. And talking. Thank you for listening.
But so much of what I have to say I've gleaned from many other places. With that in mind, here are some books that I've enjoyed (or am in the process of enjoying) or that have challenged my thinking about parenting.
In no particular order:
A Million Miles in a Thousand Years, Donal Miller
Parenting Beyond Your Capacity, Reggie Joiner and Carey Nieuwhof
Raising Spiritual Children, Patty and Gregory Mapes
Give them Grace (Dazzling your Kids with the Love of Jesus), Elyse Fitzpatrick and Jessica Thompson
The Five Love Languages of Children, Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell
How to Listen so Kids will Talk and Talk so Kids will Listen, Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish
Of course, this just barely scratches the surface of great resources on parenting. And I can't forget the most important resource: God's word. It never fails or runs out of ideas.
